Battlefield 5 Will Take Place in the Near Future and Feature a Female Soldier

We are finally starting to get some insights into what we may be able to expect from Battlefield 5. There are some fresh new screenshots (which we will share with you in just a little bit), and some details about the setting and characters in the game.

YouTube user IceManAuz recently posted a video which includes an email from a “source” which talks about various aspects of the campaign. If the source is to be believed:

- We will be playing as a female soldier.
-The single-player campaign will take place in the near future.
- The plot will involve a military coup.
- North America will be the setting for both the single-player and multiplayer components of the game.
- Dynamic weather will add a twist to combat (tornadoes, floods and so on).
That is potentially a huge information drop, but neither EA nor DICE have confirmed any of these rumors yet. So take them with a grain of salt.

Several screenshots were included in the email:

Supposedly these environments are California, Kansas, and Alaska.

The email also states that Battlefield 5 will be revealed at EA Play in June, and that a beta version of the game will be open to testers soon afterwards. Whether that is true or not there is no way to guess now, but if it is, we only have until June 12th-14th to await confirmation of these rumors. Are you excited about these possibilities? What do you want to see from Battlefield 5?

  1. Be able to costumize your own soldiers with different uniform to make him unique, some real up to date weapons, no kill cam to reveal location
